My Specialties
I like to create what I see in my head when I am half asleep. Images flash up in my imagination and I write them down in a book beside my bed. I wonder what would happen if I did this, or that, with clay. Often I have to fight gravity but mostly my ideas somehow come to fruition. They result in some deconstructed and reconstructed design. There have been disasters, however.
My Work
I have recently taken up ceramics, but I have done art for forty years.
I love to work with stoneware. I like the TING! it makes when you flick it with your fingernail. Most of my work is 40 cm
high, some about 32 cm tall.
I try to create one-off ceramics
The glazes you can get are stunning. I love to layer them too, to get even more effect.

My Inspiration
With help from the Guru of the Kiln, Malcolm Carr, I am self taught. I do not know how to get it wrong, so I just run with it. Sometimes it works and occasionally it don't. ****I now fire all my work with my own kiln****
